Restricted movement - they’re not moving as big as they could/usually do, not tracking up
Signs of discomfort during grooming/tacking up/blanketing - kicking out, biting, flinching, shying Struggling to perform - knocking rails, slow run times, poor movement scores Difficulty bending in one direction or overall Head tossing/tail swishing during work They have ridden in a trailer for long distances or performed at a competition Their workload or training intensity has increased Recovering from injury/surgery Chronic edema Change in routine/management - turnout buddies, indoor/outdoor board |
